UAB MEDELCOM INTERNATIONAL develops ultrasound doppler pulse wave propagation velocity measurements to create a prototype - “ARTERY DOPPLEROGRAPHY DEVICE” (with automatic distance measurement). This is an ultrasound device to be used for direct measurement of aortic stiffness. This device (measures the velocity of the pulse wave directly in the aorta) is a global innovation. Lower-level medical professionals could control this device, so it could be widely used in day-to-day clinical practice and large-scale cardiovascular prevention.
